“I am no longer interested in becoming unbreakable. I am interested in shattering with grace and courage, and making art of all the broken pieces"
— Nisha Moodley
"Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't you, so you can be who you are meant to be in the first place" - Paulo Coelho
Individual counselling is an invitation to "unbecome". It can be a safe space where you gain insight and healing, and grow into your authentic self. Learn to surrender and find your way back to truth, love, and worthiness. Develop new meaning out of your experiences, and re -write and re-define your life. This new sense of belonging allows you to realign with your soul and live wholeheartedly
Specialties include: relationship issues, trauma resolution, family of origin issues, abuse issues (emotional, physical, sexual), mood disorders (anxiety/depression), grief/loss issues, life transitions, and parenting issues
I am also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator
My current expertise is working with couples, and I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Dr. Sue Johnson, best selling author and clinical psychologist developed EFT based on 20 years of clinical research. My work with couples using the EFT model focuses on adult attachment and repairing the bonds between two people. Dr. Johnson says, "love is no longer a mystery". We now know what it really takes to make a relationship work. Dr. Johnson has revolutionized the field of couples therapy, and this is why I am excited to share the EFT model with my clients
I provide a safe environment for you, as a couple, to learn your attachment needs and explore your relationship patterns. Through the EFT model you can recreate safety in your relationship, heal from your wounds, and repair your bond
According to Dr. Johnson, 70% - 75% of couples move into recovery, and 90% of couples show significant improvements after 8-20 sessions of EFT. Everyone has relationship struggles and it is important to find comfort in each other, feel understood, and reconnect
I also provide an intensive couples weekend retreat: Hold Me Tight®
